Mobilizing Traditional Ecological Knowledge for the benefit of First Nations’ environment, health, & culture.
Brief Details
-
Protecting indigenous knowledge is crucial for preserving our ecosystem as it encompasses generations of traditional wisdom, enabling sustainable practices that harmonize human activities with the environment and promote biodiversity conservation.
-
Merging indigenous knowledge with Western science is a complex task that requires mutual respect, open dialogue, and recognition that two-sight seeing, acknowledging the strengths of both systems, is the cornerstone of finding a solution
-
Our branding design plan was to create a powerful and authentic brand identity that connects deeply with the team’s mission and would distinguish them in cultural and scientific fields.
-
The logo design incorporates a droplet of water, representing individual contributions to an expansive ocean of possibilities, while also reflecting the water preservation theme. The logotype can also be seen as a ceremonial blanket wrapped around the droplet shape, it features a pattern inspired by an authentic ceremonial blanket from the Nakota Sioux Nation, adding cultural significance and honoring indigenous heritage.
